“In 2018, I had a bout with breast cancer (don’t worry, I’ve been cancer-free ever since). During chemotherapy, my voice went through some dramatic and frightening changes that, thankfully, proved to be temporary. My first public performance, only weeks after my last treatment, was singing THIS DAY with my dear friend, Terry Wollman, who co-wrote the song with Lillooet Fox, and who was very aware of my somewhat fragile condition. It was a very special moment.”

“Enter the pandemic. The world comes to a standstill, leaving lots of time for reflection. The decision to record THIS DAY was inspired by a social media memory of that performance, which stirred something deep inside me. With renewed gratitude for my gift as a vocalist, I said yes to that inner voice...to record my first single. And what better way to do it, than with the guidance of producer Terry Wollman.”
